What is Part 147?
The Part 147 regulation defines the requirements concerning:
The organization of the Training Center (human resources, equipment, etc.)
The training and exam procedures
The quality system procedures.
All the training organization specifications are recorded in the MTOE (Maintenance Training Organization Exposition).
This regulation applies to maintenance personnel training centers.
A Part 147 approved organization is authorized to carry out basic training, type qualification and the corresponding exams (when included in its scope of activity).

What is Part 147 approved training?
The basic aeronautical training delivered at a Part 147 approved center includes:
A theory part
A practical part
At the end of the training course, students will pass their exam if they achieve a score of at least 75%.
In this case, they will be able to obtain a Part 66 license if they also do an aircraft-type qualification and acquire professional experience for both the aircraft and the engine.
At the current time, Turbomeca does not provide “ab initio” or basic training.
As a Part 147 certified training organization, Turbomeca welcomes customers who already have professional experience for T1 (1st line) maintenance courses.
The certificate delivered is only valid for the engine part of the qualification.
When you ask our Centers to provide you with this type of training, you are guaranteed training of an international standard.
